Our client is a well-established consultancy with an excellent reputation across the UK and Ireland, delivering high-quality Building Surveying, Project Management and Cost Consultancy services. Due to continued growth, they are seeking an ambitious MRICS Quantity Surveyor to join their Glasgow team.

This is an excellent opportunity to work across a diverse portfolio of commercial, residential and public sector projects while playing a key role in the continued growth of the business.

The Role
\n
As a Chartered Quantity Surveyor, you will provide expert commercial and cost management advice throughout the project lifecycle, from feasibility and procurement through to final account.
\n
Working closely with clients and multidisciplinary teams, you will lead projects, manage costs, and build lasting client relationships while supporting the development of junior team members.
\n
Key Responsibilities
\n
\n - Deliver pre and post-contract Quantity Surveying services across a range of projects.
\n - Prepare cost plans, budgets, estimates and feasibility studies.
\n - Manage procurement processes, tender documentation and tender evaluations.
\n - Provide cost reporting, valuations, payment certification and financial control.
\n - Lead change management, risk management and value engineering exercises.
\n - Negotiate and agree final accounts.
\n - Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
\n - Lead projects from inception through to completion.
\n - Mentor junior surveyors and support their professional development.
\n - Contribute to business development activities and help secure new opportunities.

About You
\n
\n - MRICS Chartered status.
\n - Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
\n - Circa 5+ years' post-qualification experience within a consultancy environment.
\n - Strong pre and post-contract Quantity Surveying experience.
\n - Sound knowledge of JCT and NEC contracts.
\n - Experience delivering projects across a variety of sectors.
\n - Excellent client-facing, communication and stakeholder management skills.
\n - Strong commercial awareness and problem-solving ability.
\n - Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively.
\n - A proactive and collaborative approach.
\n - Full UK driving licence.
\n

Public sector project experience would be advantageous but is not essential.
\n
