HV Cable Design Engineer

I'm looking to connect with experienced HV Cable Design Engineers to support major HV substation EPC delivery in the UK.

HV Cable Design Manager
\n Outside IR35
\n UK (Glasgow / Hybrid / Site Visits)
\n 12 month initial contract

Key experience required:
\n * Strong background in HV substation design and delivery
\n * Experience in EPC / turnkey infrastructure environments
\n * Leading multi-discipline engineering design teams (UK + offshore delivery models)
\n * Delivery through detailed design into construction support
\n * Strong understanding of construction interfaces, commissioning, and site delivery
\n * Experience working with UK utility clients and technical approval processes
\n * Ability to manage programme, cost, change, and reporting
\n * Coordination of procurement, subcontractors, and equipment suppliers

Key responsibilities:
\n * Lead design delivery across major substation projects
\n * Manage engineering teams and ensure design outputs meet programme and scope
\n * Drive progress through detailed design and construction phases
\n * Manage client engagement, technical queries, and design changes
\n * Support procurement and supply chain coordination
\n * Ensure safe, buildable and compliant design delivery
