Contek are working with a client in the local area of Jacksdale, is a family run firm that was established in 1947. They specialise in large scale manual milling (up to 10m) and have just expanded capacity to include CNC milling to run alongside their established manual milling services. They provide work to a wide range customer base and all of the work that we undertake requires precision and is fulfilled to a high standard.

The position comes due to a consistent intake of healthy, long-standing contracts meaning a need for experienced precision engineers... see below for a detailed description of the roles package and specification of the machinist required.

The Successful Machinist - Package:

• £28,000 to £32,000 per annum (OTE - £51,500 per annum)

• Permanent days shift (7am - 3:30pm, Mon - Thurs & 7am - 2:30pm, Fri)
\n
• Overtime available (, 11 hours available per week)
\n
• 33 days holiday (inc bank holidays & 1 fixed week)

The Successful Machinist - Requirements:

\n
• Must be able to operate a 3 axis manual milling machine (experiance with larger components is desirable)
\n
• Must have the ability to read and interpret engineering technical drawings
\n
• Must be able to carry out the following operations, including: Milling, Drilling, Boring, and Tapping
\n
• Must have the ability to inspect own components using various hand held measuring equipment including: DTI Gauges, Verniers, Micrometers, Slips, Depth Gauges
\n
• Overhead Crane Experience is an advantage
